Edge Flag™ is a smart, simple system designed to keep workers aware of roof edges without the need for bulky scaffolding or makeshift barriers.

The Challenge on Commercial Roofs

Edge protection often obstructs wall
cladding, gutters, and other finishing work
on the roof - even when that work isn’t
near the edge. To keep your project
moving, Edge Flag can be installed before
the edge protection is removed, allowing
tradespeople to safely complete tasks like
screwing off, flashing, and cladding.

Yes - installation is simple and safe under supervision.

What is the maximum spacing before the flag line begins to sag?

5m max spacing. 3m is ideal for tight flag tension.

Performs well in strong winds. Flexible poles absorb gusts. Check tension regularly.

Is it safe to leave the system installed for multiple weeks or months?

Yes - made to remain in place for weeks during ongoing roof work.

How far back from the roof edge must Edge Flag be installed to remain compliant?

2 metres back from the roof edge, per WorkSafe guidelines.

Does Edge Flag replace the need for a fall arrest system or harness?

No - Edge Flag does not replace a fall arrest system or harness. It’s a visual warning system only, used to mark safe zones on low-risk roofs. Fall arrest gear is still required if workers are within 2 metres of the edge or working at height in high-risk situations.
